The program includes the traditional oral and poster presentations along with thematic workshops, speed sessions, group discussions, knowledge cafes and training sessions.

Healthy Parks Healthy People Congress Program

There are three items you may wish to view:  an updated draft detailed program, program alterations since version 1 and a snapshot of the papers and abstracts.

1. Click Here for version 2 of the detailed draft program (released 12/3/10).

Please note, this program is a DRAFT ONLY and delegates will receive a final version in hard copy at the Congress. We therefore encourage you to view this version on screen to minimise waste. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday programs are spread over two landscape pages to fit the 15 concurrent sessions, please use the scroll bar on the bottom of the page to view the whole time slot.

All plenary sessions, breaks and social functions have been individually highlighted and run across the page to indicate that only one session is taking place. To search for a particular author or abstract number, you can use the “control f” function and type the name/number. You can also download the interactive pdf on the program page of the web site to see a snapshot or précis corresponding with the same author/abstract number.

This document will continue to be updated as we receive the summaries. We encourage minimal waste and ask that you do not print the entire document. The delegate handbook included in the congress registration will include these summaries.

Experiential Tours

The Experiential Tours day of the Congress Program provides the opportunity to meet industry professionals and local experts, enthusiastic to share their knowledge and stories. At a selection of prime Melbourne locales, delegates can create meaning through direct experience.  You will have the chance to be drawn into local nature, culture and history. These tours provide an opportunity for personal growth and time to reflect on the values and interests that are experienced on an individual level.

The participatory tours provide new knowledge and authentic experiences by encouraging the meeting and coming together of different cultures, their problems, solutions and potential.

We will be inviting you to choose from a unique selection of tours that aim to provide personal enrichment, enlightenment, stimulation and engagement as motivators.  Expect to choose something like a Kayak journey up the Yarra River, through the CBD to nearby bushland and sipping a cup of traditional billy tea, washing down Eucalyptus Honey and damper on an indigenous food tour.  We have designed an array of tours that will inspire and enliven your senses.
