1000 Cities 1000 Lives Melbourne is an all-ages family event to help raise awareness for public health in urban environments by taking part in a 5km walk or run around Albert Park Lake. There will be free yoga and tai chi in the park, warm up exercises with TV's 'Biggest Loser' Presenter Michelle Bridges, fantastic prizes, gourmet health snacks with a global flavour, music and dance from around the world and the chance to try your hand at sailing.
Kids will be catered for with a Children’s Village featuring a park treasure hunt, guest appearances by Ranger Roo, musical entertainment, a petting zoo and face-painting.
This event has been registered as a World Health Day 2010, a World Health Organisation initiative.
